The Morgan County Library is excited to invite the community to join in celebrating National Library Week, taking place April 20th–25th. This special week is dedicated to recognizing the vital role libraries play in bringing people together, fostering lifelong learning, and providing access to information, resources, and opportunities for all.
Throughout the week, the library will be showing appreciation for its patrons by offering treats, hosting prize drawings, and creating a welcoming space for visitors of all ages to stop in and celebrate. Whether you’re a longtime library supporter or haven’t visited in a while, this is the perfect time to reconnect and enjoy everything the library has to offer.
As part of the celebration, anyone can sign up for prize drawings simply by stopping by the library. In addition, patrons who check out a book during National Library Week will have the opportunity to enter to win a $50 gift card—making it even more rewarding to discover your next great read.
National Library Week is a nationwide observance that highlights how libraries serve as essential community hubs—offering free access to books, technology, educational programs, and safe spaces for connection and creativity. It’s a time to celebrate not only the resources libraries provide, but also the people who make them special: the patrons, staff, and supporters who keep them thriving.
The Morgan County Library encourages everyone to visit during this celebratory week, enjoy a treat, enter to win prizes, and take home a new book. Join us April 20th–25th as we celebrate our community and the power of libraries!
