Board of Trustees
August 10, 2023
Present: Mary Jo Jackson, Stacey Embry, Ann Brinson, Kathy Jones, Curtis Cunningham, Melissa Hedrick.
Absent: None.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Mary Jo Jackson at 5:45 p.m. It was held at 600 N. Hunter, Versailles, MO 65084.
Public Comment: The 2024 Assessed Valuation was announced. There was no public comment.
Friends Report: Imagination Library QR code distribution continues. There will be no Friends meeting in August.
Minutes: Kathy moved, Melissa seconded, to accept the July 13, 2023 minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Vouchers/Financial Report: Balance as of July 31, 2023, is $383,954.59. Ann moved, Kathy seconded, to accept the report as presented. Motion carried.
Directors’ Report: Circulation remains consistent. Summer Reading Program saw a large increase in children who completed the program; adult and teen numbers remained about the same as last year. The Library will close at noon on August 25 and will be closed all day October 17 for Evergreen training.
Old Business: LAGERS was tabled unto the 2024 budget can be discussed.
New Business: Curtis moved, Kathy seconded, to accept the 2024 Assessed Valuation. Motion carried. Policies for Vacation, Leave of Absence with Pay, and Leave of Absence without Pay were tabled, pending further research. The Pandemic Leave Time Policy and the Pandemic Leave Time Application were permitted to expire.
Adjournment: Ann moved, Kathy seconded, to adjourn at 6:35 PM. Motion carried.
