Dear Bookworm,

With America’s 250th birthday coming up, I decided it was finally time to learn more about the founding of our country.

First, I searched online. Within minutes, I had opened so many articles about the Revolutionary War, the Founding Fathers, and colonial America that I became completely overwhelmed.

Next, I checked out a history book. Unfortunately, after a few chapters of facts and dates, I accidentally used it as a pillow.

I really want to learn more about this fascinating time in American history, but there has to be an easier way.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,

Historically Overwhelmed

Dear Historically Overwhelmed,

Absolutely! If traditional history books aren’t holding your attention, try an audiobook instead. A good narrator can turn historical facts into an engaging story, making it easier—and more fun—to learn about the past.

Did you know you can borrow audiobooks right on your phone with your library card? The library offers thousands of titles you can download and enjoy wherever you go.

Sometimes the best way to discover history is to listen to the story unfold.

Happy listening,

Dear Bookworm
