The Morgan County Library will celebrate the conclusion of its 2026 Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story, with a special event at Jacob’s Cave on Wednesday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m.
Participants will gather inside the cave for a unique morning of stories, crafts, and exploration as the library wraps up another successful summer of reading and learning. The event ties into this year’s dinosaur-themed program by bringing participants into a real-world setting where they can experience the wonder of discovery and imagination.
This year’s event also holds special meaning as it is being dedicated in memory of Collin Hulse, who recently passed away at the age of 18.
Collin was a gifted writer and an aspiring author who had a deep love for storytelling and creativity. He attended library programs and shared his enthusiasm for learning, imagination, and stories with those around him. His presence made a lasting impression on staff and community members alike.
The End-of-Summer Reading Celebration offers families an opportunity to reflect on a summer filled with books, activities, and adventures while honoring a young life that valued creativity and storytelling.
The event will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Jacob’s Cave. Participants can enjoy story time, hands-on crafts, and a memorable experience inside one of Missouri’s most unique natural landmarks.
